Coaching and training for adults of all ages and fitness levels. We offer outdoor classes and running groups in Prospect Park, and customizable personal training.

We help busy, "super-women" prioritize themselves, rediscover their inner athlete, and move like a kid does—with joy, energy, and freedom—through outdoor, non-competitive, group workouts that focus on FUN.

Move.

From your brain to your joints to your mood, the benefits of movement are endless. If you are having trouble getting started, we help you find ways to build activity into your life, and simply MOVE your body with ease. We meet you where you are, help you celebrate what your body can do, and help you understand how to work with your body rather than against it.

Run.

Running is one of the simplest natural exercises available to us.  Running isn't for everyone. But we specialize in getting people who think they hate running or can't run, out the door, to the park, and safely running, with ease and joy.  We help you make peace with your pace and move one step at a time towards your goal, whether that's to run your first 5k, get faster, increase endurance, or just stick to a regular running routine.

Play.

We know how important play is for children—it helps them use creativity while developing cognitive, emotional, and physical skills. It's important for adults, too! Play reduces stress, helps boost productivity, stimulates creativity, and increases energy. In our workouts, you will work hard and get stronger, but you'll do it in a stress-free, non-competitive environment. Just like kids do, we'll play outside in any weather, we'll speak our minds, laugh, make new friends, try new things, and have FUN, while we move, run, and play.

About Jen.

I have been a fitness professional for 13 years, an educator for children and adults for 25 years, and a professional kid for more than 50 years.

I love helping people prioritize themselves and do what they love.

I am a pre- and post-natal American Council on Exercise (ACE) certified personal trainer. Since 2010, I've helped hundreds of “non-runners” cross the finish line for their first race and ditch the self-doubt and judgment.  When I'm not leading workouts in Prospect Park, you can find me teaching musical theatre classes, playing ultimate frisbee, rock climbing, rooting for the underdog, crying at old commercials, adding peanut butter to everything, and searching for the perfect cup of espresso.

testimonials

"When I joined the Couch to 5K program I really expected it to be a short term thing. I was pleasantly surprised what impact running with a group would have. More importantly, Jen is a perfect coach in working with runners with varying abilities and experience. I get just the right amount of push, and the perfect dosage of inspiration and motivation from her."

- SMITA V.

It’s not easy for me to prioritize taking care of myself—work, family, household chores, I’m tired, I’m hungry, so many reasons—but run club somehow motivates me to get out there and exercise. The women are awesome, the instructors are so chill, I totally recommend it!

“Jen is an amazing coach-gentle and encouraging! She has gotten me off of the couch and out in all kinds of weather. She has always has a choice of routes, so I never have to worry that it will be to difficult for me. Thank you Jen!”

- AMY A.

“I was not a group class person until I tried one of her classes many years ago in an effort to get some strengthening in. Jen's classes are fun and supportive (but not in an annoying way). Women with all kinds of fitness level, injuries, etc. work out together, and it feels great to be done before my day really starts. Plus, my fitness level and strength have definitely improved from her classes!”
