Our Team
Jen Clarke
Jen is the founder and owner of MoveRunPlay. First and foremost, Jen is an educator. She has a Master’s degree Harvard Graduate School of Education, and has spent spent 30 years helping adults and children learn and grow in non-traditional educational settings. She’s taught on buses, on Capitol Hill, in the Rocky Mountains, on stage, at the piano, and for the last 15 years— in Prospect Park (her favorite!)
Jen is a pre- and post-natal American Council on Exercise (ACE) certified personal trainer and running coach. Since 2010, she’s helped hundreds of people with varying degrees of exercise aversion come together to ditch self doubt and judgment and find joy in being outside and moving their bodies (at any pace!)
When she’s not leading workouts in Prospect Park, you can find her teaching musical theatre classes, playing ultimate frisbee, rock climbing with her teenage daughters, rooting for the Mets, crying at old commercials, and searching for the perfect cup of espresso.
Jen C. is the instructor for Run Club, HIIT, small group workouts, and the Sunday / Wednesday walk/runs. She is also available for private and semi-private strength training workouts.
Jen Friedlin
After a rough menopause in which she nearly gave up on exercise, Jen decided she wanted to help women move through the transition to a place of health, strength, and vitality. In 2023, at the age of 53, she became a personal trainer through the National Federation of Personal Trainers and have loved every minute of it since.
She enjoys helping women feel good in their changing bodies and believes (knows!) that we can exceed our wildest physical expectations even as we age.
When she’s not training women, you can find Jen doing communications work for non-profit organizations, taking long walks around the city, looking for her next delicious meal, playing word games, and hoping one of her twins decides to call sometime soon from college.
Jen F leads the MoveStrengthenStretch classes on Tuesday and Friday mornings. She also offers private training. You can check out her offerings and reach out to her via her website.
